Bruno Bacci spent over three years researching and developing the Leonardo Dual Output. This baritone guitar has been designed to push the boundaries of music by unleashing unconventional tones and inspiring creativity, while maintaining the highest levels of playability, beauty, and quality.
Groundbreaking features
One of its most groundbreaking features is the inclusion of a second output, exclusively dedicated to the bass pickup and situated on the three bass strings of the baritone. This innovation expands the instrument's sonic possibilities, allowing for a much richer and deeper sound that opens up new playing techniques and artistic ideas. Experience a complete submersion into uncharted musical realms with the Leonardo Funk Machine. Though it utilizes the same six strings as a traditional guitar, this instrument offers a distinctive means of projecting sound.
Bridge
One of its most groundbreaking features is the inclusion tremolo bridge: Dusenberg les trem. This tremolo was chosen by the luthier because of its ability to hold tuning perfectly during use, avoiding the detuning problems caused by other brands of tremolo. This tremolo also avoids the cutting of the wood of the body practised in the installation of standard tremolo models.
Pick-ups
Bruno Bacci designed all the pickups in the Leonardo range in collaboration with Dreamsongs Pickups, an Italian company known for its exceptional manufacturing capabilities. For the Leonardo Funk Machine, Dreamsongs™ Pickups created a set of Gold Foil-Style pickups that capture the brilliance of sound without sacrificing depth. They've also developed Modern bass pickups that excel at capturing the sound of the fourth, fifth, and sixth strings for the instrument's second output.

What inspired a second release of the Leonardo Funk Machine? While the baritone guitar already has a lower register than a standard guitar, Bruno Bacci's innovation has taken this instrument to new heights in the realm of sound. By connecting the second output to a bass amp, the fourth, fifth, and sixth strings resonate with a depth that emulates a bass guitar, amplifying both its volume and amplitude.
Headstock
The Leonardo Funk Machine features a uniquely asymmetrical headstock that complements the contours of the body. The 9-degree angle of the headstock is carefully crafted to provide the perfect amount of tension and vibration to the instrument. To further enhance this effect, the guitar is equipped with Hipshot's Open Back tuning machines, ensuring flawless string tuning. Additionally, a valuable bone capo is included.
Construction
The lightweight Alder body seamlessly merges with a figured maple neck, creating an instrument that feels like a natural extension of the body.

length enables a broad spectrum of low frequencies. Our 13/72 strings, supplied by DOGAL, a renowned Italian handmade strings company, are finely tuned to complement these attributes.

Completing the package is a beautiful bone capo that adds the perfect finishing touch.

The Luthier Bruno Bacci
Bruno Bacci, a luthier from Tuscany, is a master of his craft. Born in 1975, he has always had a passion for creating musical instruments. Throughout his 20s and 30s, he honed his skills in a variety of fields, from metallurgy to marketing, carpentry and graphic design. This diverse background has allowed him to bring a unique perspective to his work as a luthier: wood comes with a soul, which a skilled luthier must be able to capture and interpret. From the smooth curves of the body to the precise tuning of the strings, every aspect has been carefully considered to ensure exceptional playability. Bacci's approach to instrument making is a testament to the importance of mixing innovation and tradition.When a customer walks out of Bacci's laboratory with their new guitar, they are not just leaving with a musical instrument, they are leaving with a piece of Tuscany and a bond that will last a lifetime.

It will be necessary, in order to optimise communication and initiatives, to profile product categories, purchases and personal preferences linked to our target market.
- b) The processing will be carried out both manually (on paper) and electronically. The provision of data is optional for purchases made directly on the premises (except for legal obligations) and any refusal to provide such data has no direct consequence but could result in the non-execution or partial execution of the contract or the failure to continue the relationship or pre or post-sales services. On the other hand, the provision of data will be compulsory for purchases made remotely/web/email and for the management of pre- and post-sales services.
- c) The data will be shared between the registered office, the managers and collaborators of the companies indicated above, as well as by business partners for possible co-marketing operations.
